Obituary

Mrs. Jeanette Tanner Norfleet, age 78, of Soperton died Monday night, November 14, 2016.

Mrs. Norfleet was born in Wheeler County and had lived most of her life in Treutlen County.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Chancy and Lessie Beck Tanner, husband, Autry Phillips, sisters, Jewel McDaniel and Geneva Maddox, brothers, Albert Tanner, Willie Tanner, Earl Tanner, Edward Tanner, James Tanner, and A.C. Tanner, and grandson, Dana Kittrell.  She was a former employee of Treutlen Health and Rehabilitation.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Norfleet; children, Olise (Sherry) Phillips, Wallace (Sue) Phillips, Matt (Tara) Phillips, Mitchell Phillips, Allen (Barbara) Phillips, and Deborah (William) Brinson, all of Soperton, Sandra (Ken) Dykstra of Ritzville, Washington, Suzette (John) Brown of Lyons, and Diane (Glenn Barefoot) Phillips of Dunn, NC;  fifteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and one great-great- grandson.

Services will be held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 17, with the Reverend Lee Gaston officiating.  Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Treutlen County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6—8 p.m.
