Mrs. Jeanette Earline Willis Cooper, 80, Live Oak, FL died Tuesday, January 12, 2016.
The Soperton, GA native moved to Live Oak ten years ago from Orlando, FL. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Masters Degree and was an Elementary School Teacher for Orange County School System before retiring after 25 years. After retiring she became a writer and published over fifteen novels. She was also an avid painter.
She is survived by her son: Victor Pirie, Live Oak, FL; sister: Merle Dufour, Grande Island, FL; brother: Ervin Willis, Apopka, FL; five nieces: Alicia Willis, Sandra Sinclair, Karen Willis, Janice Dezeeuy and Susan McIntire.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 16th at Durden Cemetery in Soperton with the Rev. Mike Spivey officiating.
Daniels Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., Live Oak & Branford, FL and Sammons Funeral Home, Soperton were in charge of arrangements.
