Mrs. Jerri "Sissy" Morris Kvanda, age 68, formerly of Laurens County passed away on                             March 5, 2026 at her home in El Cajon, California.

Born in Laurens County, Georgia, she was the second of three children born to the late Gerald Monta Morris and Billie Jean Oxford Morris.  "Sissy" was a graduate of East Laurens High School, Class of 1975.  After high school she moved to California where she has remained a resident.  After arriving in California, she began a career in the Banking Industry as a Mortgage Lender, that continues until she retired as Senior Loan Officer with HSNBC.  "Sissy" enjoyed walking, especially when her three fur babies were with her, shopping and being a godmother to her three precious little girls.

She leaves behind her husband of 20 years, Douglas "Doug" Kvanda, El Cajon, CA; their son, Damien Kvanda, Lakeside, CA; her brother, Gerald Monta Morris Jr.; her sister, Becky Morris Soles (Al), all of East Dublin, GA; her three god-daughters; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as her fur babies, Lucy, Lulu and Blue.

Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at the Wilkes Church of the Nazarene in East Dublin, with her brother in law, Pastor Al Soles officiating.

"Sissy" will be laid to rest beside her mother and father in the Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends, on Sunday, at the church, from 2:30 pm until the hour of service.
