John Calvin "J. C.", "Jumper" Joiner Jr. age 72 of Soperton passed away on Wednesday afternoon, October 19, 2022 at Candler County Regional Hospital in Metter, Georgia.

Born in Soperton, he was the only child born to the late John Calvin Joiner Sr. and Willie Lee Warnock Joiner.

Mr. Joiner was a lifelong resident of Soperton and had worked as a Welder at Ogeechee Steel in Swainsboro and was a self professed "Shade Tree" mechanic.  He would find a way to fashion something to fix anything.

He enjoyed card games, fishing, making people laugh, sharing stores (some true, some questionable) about old times and fast cars.

Mr. Joiner leaves behind, his children, Kimbey O'Neal (Timmy), Dublin, GA, Tina Joiner, Soperton, GA, Tommy Joiner, Bowie, TX, and four grandchildren, Hootie, Landon, Kevin and CharlieMae.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 20, 2022 from the graveside in Westview Cemetery as he is laid to rest beside his parents.

His family will receive friends at the graveside.
