Mr. John Alton Lampp, age 24, of Soperton, passed away on Wednesday morning, April 15, 2020.

Born in Dublin, he was the son of Linda Lampp and Alton Gillis Jr. John grew up in the Lothair Community of Soperton and was a member of the 2014 Class of Treutlen County High School. He had attended Southeastern Technical College where he was enrolled in the Welding program. John had worked at Rentz Communications in Baxley, for the Genesis – Wyoming Railroad and most recently as a Sub Station Technician at Heat Sinc in Dublin.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, time with his family and friends and any outdoors activity.

He had attended Pine Grove Baptist Church in Reidsville with his mother.

John is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Nancy Jean Lampp and an uncle, Robert "Scrap" Lampp.

He leaves behind, his mother, Linda Lampp, Reidsville, GA, his father, Alton Gillis Jr. (Renee), Vidalia, GA, his maternal great grandmother, Zonnie Gibbons, Manning, SC, his paternal grandparents, John Alton and Shirley Ann Gillis, Swainsboro, GA, siblings, Justin Gillis, Reidsville, GA, Japorie Bostick, Dublin, GA, Ashley Boynton, Hinesville, GA, Jamari Jones, Atlanta, GA and countless friends that he considered family.

Private services will be conducted from the graveside as John is laid to rest beside his grandfather in Red Bluff Cemetery, Treutlen County, Georgia.
