Mr. John Lewis Richardson, age 77, beloved husband of Daisy Elizabeth Kicklighter Richardson of the Lothair Community of Soperton passed away on Wednesday afternoon, August 27, 2025 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

Born in the Emanuel County, he was one of nine children born to the late John Lane Richardson and Lillian Beasley Richardson.

John Lewis had worked at Chikashay in Vidalia and Mohawk Industries before accepting employment with the State of Georgia Department of Transportation from where he retired after over twenty years.  Upon realizing that retirement didn't keep him busy he went back to work with the Treutlen County Road Department until 2023.

He and his wife, Daisy, are members of Boiling Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

John Lewis loved animals, his family and any time spent with the "up and coming" next generation.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Alma Elizabeth Richardson and a sister, Naomi.

Mr. Richardson leaves behind: his wife of fifty seven years, Daisy Richardson, Soperton, GA, three son, Raymond "Pabst" Richardson, Soperton, GA, Billy Richardson, Soperton, GA, Jeremy Richardson (Christy), Wrightsville, GA, siblings, Landis Richardson, Cobbtown, GA, Annette Denmark (Junior), Grey's Landing, GA, Brenda Sue Newsome (Ricky), Grey's Landing, GA, Lamar Richardson (Pam), Soperton, GA, Elaine McDaniel, Johnson's Corner, GA, Donald Richardson (Martha), Milton Richardson (Mary), all of Soperton, GA, grandchildren, Mercedes, Megan, Shelton, Haley, Madison, Carson, Chloe, Hayden, great grandchildren, Zaiden, Ariel, Payson, MJ, Dax, Cali, Waylon and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 pm on Saturday, August 30, 2025 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverend Conway Jones officiating.

John Lewis will be laid to rest beside his daughter in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Lucky Kicklighter, Dale Phillips, Mitchell Coxwell, Jason Richardson, Scott Richardson and Dwayne Hardy.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Justin Phillips and Herbert Green.

His family will receive friends, at Sammons Funeral Home, on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm or friends and family may call at the residence.
