Joseph ' Joe' White, age 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, June 14, 2022 at Lynn Haven Assisted Living in Gray, Georgia.

He was the son of the late Jessie James White and Lovie McElhaney White.

Joe was born in Savannah, Georgia. He married his wife Martha Stroud on May 20,1950 and they had three sons. They lived as a family in Savannah, Georgia until 1959 and then moved to Macon. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad. Mr. White was an avid coin collector and member of the Macon Coin Club.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Martha White in 2003.

He is survived by his three sons, Roger, Joe and Steve White, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, as well as his friend and longtime companion, Jeannette Fortin.

Funeral services will be conducted at 9:00 am on Sunday, June 19, 2022 from the graveside in Poplar Springs Methodist Church Cemetery, Adrian as Mr. White is laid to rest beside his wife.
