Mrs. Juanita S. Loyd, age 99 beloved wife of the late Jimmy Lee Loyd of Adrian passed away on Wednesday evening, August 19, 2020 at Pruitt Health and Rehabilitation Center in Swainsboro, Georgia.

Born in Laurens County she was the only daughter of J. Burl and Etta Mae Smith. She had been a longtime resident of the Minter and Rockledge communities until moving to Adrian in the early 1960s. Mrs. Loyd had worked as a Machine Operator at J.P. Stevens and later worked at Swainsboro Sportswear until retiring in 1983. She enjoyed cooking and yardwork.

She had been a longtime member of Union Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Loyd, who passed away in 1993, a brother, Grady Smith and her son, Jimmy Edwin Loyd.

Mrs. Loyd leaves behind her granddaughter, Sherri Moorman (Ty), Adrian, GA, her grandson, Mark Loyd (Amy), Dublin, GA, five great grandchildren, Matthew Moorman (Annie), Chip Moorman (Kasey), Fairby Loyd, Marlee Loyd and Mason Loyd; two great grandchildren, Eva and Lucas Moorman, several nieces and nephews and a special nephew Bobby Wynn of Guyton, GA.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 1 ^st at 10:30 am from the graveside in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Jordy Warnock officiating.

Mrs. Loyd will be laid to rest beside her husband.
