Miss Katie Lawrence, age 31, of Lyons died Sunday, June 11, 2017.

Miss Lawrence was born in Augusta, GA and had lived most of her life in Uvalda before moving to Lyons three years ago.  She was preceded in death by her father, Sylvester Lawrence, and was employed with Dairy Queen of Vidalia.

Survivors include her mother, Mackie Barwick Lawrence of Lyons; two sisters, Jackie Mincey and Ashley Ramos, both of Lyons; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in Beulah Baptist Church, Wheeler County, at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 24, with Reverend Glenn Waters and Reverend K. C. Seabury officiating. Sammons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A visitation will be held at the church one hour before the memorial service.
