Obituary

Mr. Kenneth "Gabe" Graham, age 78, of the Rockledge Community, passed away on Monday morning, November 4, 2019 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

Born in Laurens County, he was the only son of the late Louise Tilda Graham. Mr. Graham was raised by his grandparents in the Minter Community and attended the Laurens County School System. In 1958 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. While home on leave later that same year he met Bradenton, FL native Sandra Chester; whom would become his wife in 1960 and companion for the remainder of his life. The newlyweds settled in Rockledge and have made that their home for the next fifty nine years. Mr. Graham had worked in the Heat and Air Conditioning industry for many years and had been the Owner and Operator of Graham Heating and Air for over 40 years.

He and his family had been longtime members of Blue Springs Baptist Church and Tweed Chapel Church of God. Mr. Graham had served as Pastor at Poplar Springs South Baptist Church and Scott Baptist Church.

He loved his cats and adopted any stray that might show up. He enjoyed feeding the fish in his pond, riding his golf cart around Rockledge, being out doors and keeping everything at home in working order.   He was a Master Syrup Maker and enjoyed working in the cane patch and the camaraderie of family and friends coming around for his annual syrup making.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Claude Hobson Graham and Epsie Register Graham.

Mr. Graham leaves behind his wife of fifty nine years, Sandra Chester Graham, Rockledge, GA, their children, Kenny Graham, Rockledge, GA, Candace "Candy" Diers (Joey), Dexter, GA, four grandchildren, Victoria Graham, Warrenton, GA, Joshua Graham (Ashley), Charlotte, NC, Will Diers, Dexter, GA, Kaylee Diers, Clermont, GA, two great grandchildren, Zayne Sirmons, Gabriel Graham, many extended family, friends, cousins and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Blue Springs Baptist Church with his son-in-law, Reverend Joey Diers officiating.

Mr. Graham will be laid to rest in Blue Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be: J. R. Hardy, James Lundy, Will Diers, Joshua Graham, Bruce Mimbs, Owen Spivey and Mitchell Chester.

His family will receive friends on Thursday, at the church, from 1:30 pm until the hour of the service.
