Mr. Kenneth R. Wickstrom, age 66, of Mt. Vernon died Tuesday, June 7, 2016.

Mr. Wickstrom was born in Winter Haven, FL and grew up in Treutlen County. He was preceded in death by his parents, N.L. Wickstrom and America Viola Soles Wickstrom. He served in the US Marines during the Vietnam War and was retired from Brewton Parker College.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth Eric Wickstrom of Indianapolis, IN; grandson, Braden Wickstrom of Bedford, IN; a sister, Kathy (Freddie) Barber of Valdosta, and a brother, John L. Wickstrom of Hayden, AL; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Friday, June 10, with the Reverend M.L. Barber officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Shady Cemetery, Treutlen County.

Pallbearers will be Steve Rewis, Mitchell Edge, Jimmy Watts, Gage Watts, Greg Connell, and Byron Ward.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6—8:30 p.m.
