Obituary

Mrs. Kimberly Dawn Edenfield, age 40, of Soperton passed away in the early morning hours on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Fairview Park Hospital on Dublin.

Born in Dublin, she was the middle of three girls born to Nell Brantley Brown and the late John Aaron Bridges.  She grew up in Statesboro where she graduated high school.  After high school, Kim attended Swainsboro Technical College where she studied Cosmetology.  Kim was primarily a Homemaker who thrived and loved taking care of and spoiling her family.

She enjoyed any DIY project; especially woodworking, decorating and arts and crafts.  Her family will hold close to their memories of her enjoyment of family camping trips and any time spent with her family.

Kim was a member at the Blackville Church of God.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by a cousin Rebecka "Becka" Breanna Goodwin, who passed away on Augusta 22nd, 2021 and  a great nephew, Bentley Nunez.

Kim leaves behind, her husband, Matt Edenfield, children, Kason Slater, Jentry Edenfield, Daygan Edenfield and Atticus Edenfield, her mother, Nell Brown (Jimmy), all of Soperton, GA, sisters, Amy McKee (Sam), Gray, GA, Ashley Poole, Tarrytown, GA, her mother in law, Lee Freeman (Michael), Ludowici, GA, beloved aunt, Tara Griner (Ryan), Soperton, GA, other special family members; aunt and uncle, Betty and Frank McCoy, Tarrytown, GA, nieces, Morgan Nunez, Gray, GA, Hayley Poole (her bonus child), Soperton, GA, a special cousin, Jeanna Brooks (Jason), Soperton, GA and countless other loving family members.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 16, 2023 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Peavy, of Blackville Church of God, officiating.

Kim will be laid to rest at her home; the place that she loved.

Her family will receive friends on Friday, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, at Sammons Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Brian Whitaker, Brandon Bush, Sam McKee, Jason Brooks, Dale Brantley and Allen Bridges.
