Mr. Lanelle Carl Anderson, age 64 of Augusta passed away on Wednesday morning, January 19, 2022 at his home.

Born in Augusta, he was the oldest of five children born to the late Lanelle Carl Anderson Sr. and Martha Ann Kirkland Anderson.  Carl was a graduate of Butler High School in Augusta where he played the Clarinet in the marching band.  After high school he attended Page's Beauty College in Augusta.  Carl was a hairdresser for many years in South Augusta; most recently at Peach Orchard Beauty Salon.

Carl had attended Cokesbury United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed yardwork and especially planting and nurturing trees.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Halford.

Carl leaves behind his siblings, Lynn Byrd (Phillip), Soperton, GA, Wayne Anderson (Tina), Augusta, GA, Ann Smith (Glenn), Orlando, FL, and Aunt June Kirkland Bromley, nieces, Melanie Johns (Brandon, Amanda Rich (David), Olivia Anderson, all of Augusta, two great nephews, Arthur and Henry Rich as a longtime best friend, Susan Boegner, Bay St. Louis, MS.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in the Mausoleum Chapel of Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Pastor Rick Nevard officiating.
