Mr. Larry Gene Kelley, age 70, of Lyons passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, November 13, 2016.

Mr. Kelley was preceded in death by his parents, E. J. Kelley and Hazel Thigpen Sweat, his step-father, Douglas Sweat, his sister, Sherry Kelley, and his brother, Ronnie Martin.  He was employed with Mitchell Construction Company, Vidalia, for twenty years and with Lyons Tool and Machine for fifteen years.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Sellars Kelley; children, Larry J. Kelley, Brad (Kathy) Kelley, Jonathan Kelley, and Jeffrey Kelley, all of Soperton, Krista Kelly of Dublin, and Connie (Bill) Harmon and Terry Sykes, all of Lyons;  grandchildren, Leslie Kelley, Roman (Holly) Joyce, Ashleigh Kelly, Sydney Kelly, Gavin Kelly, Ashley (Josh) Colbert, Victoria Harmon, and Nicole Sykes; great-grandchildren, Blake Joyce, Garrett Joyce, Luke Colbert, Westin Colbert, Kaleb Colbert, and Raylee Colbert; sisters, Delores Sweat Lankford of East Dublin and Judy Sweat Phillips of Normantown; brother, Melvin (Jenny) Sweat of The Villages, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, with Brother Danny Zorn officiating.  Burial will be in Westview Cemetery, Soperton.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 12 noon to 2 p.m.
