Mrs. Leslie "Missy" Swain, age 42, of Soperton died Wednesday, May 25, 2016.

Mrs. Swain was born in St. Marys, GA and grew up in Laurens County, where she graduated from West Laurens High School. She was preceded in death by her step-mother, Barbara Kersey. She was a nurse and a member of Soperton Trinity Assembly of God.

Survivors include her husband, Shawn Swain; children, Michael Watson of Dexter, Cody Swain, Sierra Mullis, and Ridge Swain, all of Soperton; father, Jimmy Kersey of Dexter; mother and step-father, Pauline and Bobby Gillis of Lake Blackshear; brothers, Jacob Gillis and Joshua Gillis, both of Lake Blackshear; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hilton and Judy Joiner of Soperton; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held in Soperton Trinity Assembly of God at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28, with Reverend Bob Blackwell and Reverend James Rayburn officiating.

Additional graveside services will be held in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Laurens County, Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Sammons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Adam Hackle, Steve Page, Jarrett Kersey, Guy Metz, Robbie Rhodes, Shannon McCullough, Matthew Williams, and Benny Fortner.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the funeral service.
