Mr. Lester Wyman Poole, age 65, of Soperton died Tuesday, October 17, 2017.

Mr. Poole was a lifelong resident of Treutlen County and was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Hyman and Sara Lawson Poole, son, Phillip Lester Poole, and brother, Billy Poole.  He was retired from Treutlen County Road Department and attended Hebron Holiness Church, Treutlen County, and Holy Church of God, Treutlen County.

Survivors include his wife of forty-one years, Bobbie Faye Chafin Poole; daughter, April (Alexander) Smith of Statesboro; grandchildren, Marcus Smith, Jacoby Smith, and Camille Smith; sisters, Elaine Passmore of Swainsboro, Patricia (Jimmy) Lumpkin of Adrian, and Ruby Jean Mosley of Savannah; brothers, Ronald Poole of Swainsboro and Bobby Joe Poole of Vidalia; niece, Terri Passmore; nephews, B. J. (Whitney) Poole and Jeffrey (Allison) Lumpkin; neighbors and dear friends, Kim and Danny Bridges, Justin Bridges, and Rylee Bridges, all  of Soperton; and a host of other family members and friends.

Graveside services will be held in Holton Chapel Cemetery, Treutlen County, at 11 o'clock Saturday, October 21, with Reverend June Scott officiating.  Sammons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5 to 7 o'clock.
