Mr. Lonnie Joe Flury, age 74 formerly of the Rockledge Community passed away on Wednesday morning, October 3, 2018 at the Dublinaire Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dublin.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from the graveside in Red Bluff Cemetery with Reverend Ben Edwards officiating.

Joe's family will receive friends on Saturday, at the graveside, prior to the service and in the church fellowship hall following the service.

He was born in Treutlen County, the son of the late Lonis James Flury and Imogene Hardy Flury Chafin.

Joe and his family moved to the Rockledge Community at an early age where he grew up. He worked for the Easter Seals Foundation in Soperton and Dublin before retiring.

He was a member of Blue Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his sister, Glenda Mickler and her husband, J.C., Danville, GA, a niece, Tonya Gillis, Soperton, GA, an aunt, Canolia Gillis, Macon, GA and several cousins.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Blue Springs Baptist Church, 1836 Minter Blue Springs Road, Rockledge, GA  30454
