Mrs. Louise Cross Fowler, age 89, of Soperton died Wednesday, May 24, 2017.

Mrs. Fowler was a lifelong resident of Treutlen County and was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Sallie Smith Cross, and Carrie Cross; husband, J. E. Fowler, Jr.; and brother, George Elmer Cross.  She was retired from Soperton Manufacturing Company and was a member of First Baptist Church, Soperton, and the Fidelis Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her children, Peggy and Jimmy Moxley of Seneca, SC, Rickey Fowler of Soperton, Cheryl and Ronnie Wilkes of Rockledge; sisters, Betty Jean Dunn of Augusta, Jacqueline Dees of Warner Robins, Gloria (Herman) Oliver of Social Circle, Sandra (Foster) Warnock of Covington, and Carolyn (Gary) Smith of Soperton; brothers, Frank (Betty) Cross of Warner Robins, Billy (Gladys) Cross of North Augusta, SC, and Darby (Joy) Cross of Americus;  grandchildren, Brian (Lynn) Moxley, Christopher Moxley, Donna (Todd) Daniels, Michelle Adams, and Richard (Kristine) Fowler; great-grandchildren, Kevin (Miranda) Moxley, Bryce Moxley, Evan Moxley, Tabitha (Colby) Taylor, Sheyenne Winther, Michael (Veronica) Black, Cory Fowler, Alyssa Fowler, and Brooke Fowler;  great-great-grandchildren, Collin Black and Gavin Black;  step-grandchildren, Stacey (Tom) Dorywalski, Beverly (Brian) Riddle, Danielle (Anthony) Cooley, Candace (Michael) McCart, Chad Winther, Casey Winther, Daisy Daniels, Colton Daniels, Ashley Rozier, Stefanie Strickland, Stacey (Steven) Powell, Sherri  (Ed) Lee, and Sandra (Kyle) Dudley;  seventeen step-great-grandchildren; daughters-in-love, Judy Smith, Connie Stephens, and Sharon Baker Spivey; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held in First Baptist Church, Soperton, at 11 o'clock Friday, May 26, with Reverend Joshua Johnson and Reverend George Grimes officiating.  Burial will be in Westview Cemetery, Soperton.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and may be reached at the family residence, 215 Varnado Street, Soperton.
