Louise Thigpen Logan, age 96 of the Orianna Community of Soperton passed away on Sunday morning, February 4, 2024 at the Treutlen County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Soperton.

Born in Treutlen County, she was one of six children born to the late Bernie Thigpen Sr. and Vera McLendon Thigpen.  She grew up in Soperton and attended school in Orianna.  She relocated to Bradenton, Florida in the 1960s.  She returned to Treutlen County in the early 1990s.  A lifelong home maker; she enjoyed yardwork, cutting her grass and taking care of her family.

She had attended Orianna Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, William Logan, siblings, Hazel Sweat, Frances Thigpen, Bernie Thigpen, Jr., Edison Thigpen and his wife, Carolyn and a brother in law, Bill Hayes.

Mrs. Logan leaves behind, her children, Cooledge Logan (Joy), Tampa, FL, Particia Ann Gainey (Rick), Orianna, Community of Soperton, her only surviving sibling, Joyce Hayes, Soperton, GA, grandchildren, Christopher Logan, Tammy Nicole Garcia (Dennis), Kimberly Evans (Jason), Whitney Stites (Nick), great grandchildren, Aiden, Nathan, Alexis, Hailey, Rylee, Sloan, William and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Pastor Arthur Conley officiating.

Mrs. Logan will be laid to rest in the family plot at Red Bluff Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday, at the funeral home, from 12:00 noon until the hour of service, or family and friends may call at her residence.
