Mrs. Lucille Stroud Hood, age 82, of Soperton passed away on Friday evening, December 29, 2017 at Glenwood Health Care in Glenwood, Georgia.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 6, 2018 in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Gibbs, officiating. Mrs. Hood will be laid to rest beside her husband in Westview Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, at the funeral home.

Born in Surrency, Georgia, she had been a longtime resident of Soperton.

Mrs. Hood is preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Stroud, her husband, Otis Hood and two sons, William and Ronnie Hood.

She is survived by: two sons, Joseph Hood (Linda), Lyons, GA, Billy Hood, Dublin, Ga and two grandsons, Raymond Joseph and Douglas Wayne Raby.
