Major Lacey D. Holton, GaNG (Retired), 68, of Rentz, Georgia, formerly of Martinez, concluded his watch on November 18, 2017.

Major Holton was born in Savannah, GA and was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle Phillips Holton Cooper and William Ellis Holton of Augusta, and his wife, Janice Alvano Holton.  He was retired from the Georgia National Guard after twenty years of service and was retired from Savannah River Plant, South Carolina, after over thirty years of service. He attended Lovely Grove Baptist Church, Eastman.

Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Kimberly Holton of Dublin, his sister and brother-in-law, Lynda and Lonnie Stewart of Cadwell, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Treutlen County, at 2 o'clock Tuesday, November 21, with Pastor Chuck Yzenski officiating. Sammons Funeral Home, Soperton, is in charge of arrangements.
