Obituary

Mr. Marvin "Ricky" Foskey, age 65, beloved husband of Crystal Sherrod Foskey of East Dublin, GA passed away on Monday evening, October 31, 2022.

Born in Dublin, he was the youngest son born to the late Marvin James Foskey and Joyce Loree Holmes Foskey.   Ricky was a lifelong resident of the Rockledge Community and had attended East Laurens High School.  He had always worked as a Carpenter, Mechanic, and Welder; beginning his career with the J. P. Stevens / Fortsmans Company.  Ricky had also worked for many years in the steel industry; most recently with Steel Fabrication of Dublin.

He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and spending time with his family.

He had attended Graham Memorial Nazarene Church in Dublin.

In addition to his parents, Ricky is preceded in death by his first wife, Ellen Horton Foskey, who passed away in 2009, a son, Nicky Lee Foskey and a sister, Johnnie Ree Stewart.

He leaves behind his wife of eleven years, Crystal S. Foskey, children, Landen Foskey and McKinley Foskey, Natasha Brooks (Jesse), Shanika Johnson, all of East Dublin, GA, Bryston Akridge, Swainsboro, GA, siblings, Frankie Louise Stewart, Allgood, TN, Annette Poston, Cookeville, TN, Patricia Anderson (Ernest), Rockledge, GA, Lewis Foskey (Marilyn), Rockledge, GA, James Wendell Foskey (Kim), Milledgeville, GA, seven grandchildren, four great grandsons and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 19, 2022 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverend L. T. Logue officiating.

Mr. Foskey will be laid to rest, beside his mother, in the Thigpen Cemetery in Rockledge.

His family will receive friends, at the funeral home, on Friday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm and on Saturday, from 1:00 pm until the hour of service.

Serving as pallbearers will be:  Hunter Haley, Blake Brooks, Chaz Brooks, Dalton Mimbs, Scott Foskey and Brad Anderson.
