Mrs. Mildred O. Smith, age 70, of Soperton died Tuesday, December 29, 2015.

Mrs. Smith was a lifelong resident of Treutlen County and was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Mildred Durden O'Brien, and her son, Jody Smith, Sr. She was a retired fourth and fifth grade teacher with Treutlen County Board of Education and was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church, Soperton.

Survivors include her husband, Steve R. Smith; daughter, Amy Smith Hardy of Dublin; grandchildren, Ciera (Jeffery) Rogers, Jazzlyn Smith, Jody Smith, Jr., and Toby Hardy; great-grandchildren, Jagger Braswell and Jhett Rogers; sister, Melodene (Roy) Wood of High Point, NC; and brother, Mike (Evie) O'Brien of Waynesboro, VA.

There were no services.

Sammons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
