Mr. Noah A. Boyette, age 91 beloved husband of Ronella Poole Boyette of Soperton, passed away on Thursday evening at the Treutlen County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Soperton.

Born in Tatnall County, Reidsville, GA, he was the youngest son of ten children born to the late Ira Dillon Boyette and Gertie Turner Boyette.  After what he felt was enough formal education, he enlisted in the Unites States Army.  While serving active duty his brother became a POW in Germany which prompted Mr. Boyette's early release to prevent all males in a family from possibly being lost in war.  After returning home he worked on the family farm for a short time before accepting a job with the Parks and Tree Division of the Public Works Department in Savannah.  While in Savannah he met Treutlen County native Ronella Poole whom he would marry. The newlyweds remained in Savannah where they had their four children before moving to Treutlen County in November of 1973.  Mr. Boyette worked on the I-16 construction project and Chickasha Mobile Home Manufacturing in Vidalia before joining Piggly Wiggly Southern in Vidalia.  During his years maintaining the grounds he created many friendships among not only his coworkers but also with the office personnel that have lasted through many years; even after Piggly Wiggly's closing.  He then worked with Treutlen County at the recycling center and drive the refuse truck until 2009.

Mr. Boyette enjoyed fishing, camping, being outdoors, the Alanta Braves and possessed a special talent of being able to whistle bird calls.

He and his wife had been baptized into the Advent Christian Church where he served as a Deacon and sang in the choir.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife who passed away in 2009 and a son, Dale Boyette who passed away in 2021 and siblings, Rufus Rogers, Lucille Flanagan, an infant sister, Dillon Boyette, Melba Kennedy, C. B. Boyette, Flora Wilson and Marie Wilson.

Mr. Boyette leaves behind his children, Melanie Boyette Wickstrom (Randy), Vidalia, GA, Darren A. Boyette (Sandra), Mt. Vernon, GA, Brian Boyette, Soperton, GA, a daughter in law, Kathy Love Boyette, Soperton, GA, a sister, Laverne Bradley, Reidsville, GA, a brother in law and sister in law, Edward M. and Martha Jo Love, Soperton, GA, grandchildren, Katie Boyette Cagle (Andy), Jodie Boyette Wallis (Josh), Kristal Wickstrom Kubacki (LeRoy), Jennifer Wickstrom Heulett (Eric), William Boyette, Dillon Boyette, Brittany Boyette, Cathy Boyette, two great grandchildren, Evie Claire Wallis, Maddie Rose Wallis and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Monday, February 7, 2022 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverend Morris Brantley officiating.

Mr. Boyette will be laid to rest beside his wife in Holton Chapel Cemetery.

His family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Sammons Funeral Home.
