Ms. Pamela Edge Davis, age 70 of Soperton, passed away on Friday afternoon, August 28, 2020 at the Treutlen County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Soperton.
Born in Soperton, she was the eldest of four children born to the late Otis Harlow and Edna Mervin Gay Edge. She spent a major portion of her life in the Treutlen and Toombs County area. She was a graduate of Treutlen County High School where she was a Star Student and Class Salutatorian. After high school she attended Weslyn College in Macon for a short time before enrolling at UGA where she majored in Bio Chemistry and Microbiology. She later married, started her family and lived in various locales around the southeast. After returning to the area; while working she continued her education at Brewton Parker College. Mrs. Davis later worked at Southern Harvest Insurance Agency in Vidalia during the 1980s until retiring and returning to Soperton in the mid 1990s.
She enjoyed cross stitch, crocheting, gardening, home schooling her grandchildren, her cats and computer technology. Since the 1970s she was always ahead of the up and coming technological advances and had friends worldwide that were of the same intellect.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a grand daughter, Lori Beth Hall.
Mrs. Davis leaves behind: her children, Bonnie McDaniel, Soperton, GA, Martin Cox, Tucson, AZ, two sisters, Phyllis Davis, Vita Bradley and a brother, Joel Edge, all of Soperton, GA; grandchildren, Samantha McDaniel (Adrian), Ashley Corona (Daniel), Sierra McDaniel, Sydney Cox, Silas Cox, Matthias Cox, two great grandchildren, Carson Logue, AvaRae Corona and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory, to her brother.
