Mrs. Patsy Hill Morgan, age 77, beloved wife of Billy Morgan of Soperton passed away on Tuesday evening, August 8, 2023 at the Treutlen County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Soperton.
Born in Montezuma, GA, she was one of four daughters born to the late Charlie Willis Hill and Janie Mayo Hill. She grew up in Montezuma and was a graduate of Macon County High School. She had managed Allied Retail Store in Montezuma. In 1965, she married Billy Morgan. They moved to Soperton in 1989 and Mrs. Morgan worked for Roydonwear as a Machine Operator until retiring in the early 2000s.
She enjoyed time spent with her family and especially trips to visit her son in Las Vegas and the opportunity to play the penny slot machines at the casinos.
Mrs. Morgan leaves behind her husband of fifty eight years, Billy Morgan, Soperton, GA, their children, Shane Morgan (Angie), Las Vegas, NV, Sherry Ricks (Herbie), Soperton, GA, her three sisters, Gladys Ann Raburn, Albany, GA, Charlotte Vanzant, Albany, GA, Jean Fowler, Rupert, GA, grandchildren, Erica Green (Jordan), Whitney Morgan, Keely Harrielson (Blake), A. J. Morgan, Maleah Ricks, great grandchildren, Alice, Henry, Creed, Kaiden, two additional great grandchildren (on the way): Dante and Malani and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 pm on Saturday, August 12, 2023 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home, with Pastor Josh Wood officiating.
Mrs. Morgan will be laid to rest with her parents in Montezuma, GA.
Her family will receive friends on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 5:00 pm until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to be made to All About Animals, 101 Riverside Drive, Macon, GA 31201 or to the charity of one's choice.
