Mrs. Peggy Barrick, age 82, beloved wife of Kenneth L. "Kenny" Barrick of Soperton passed away on Monday morning, January 24, 2022 at the Treutlen County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Soperton.
Born in Treutlen County, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Judson Rogers Sr. and Mary Lucile Page Rogers. After high school, she attended Nurse's School and later was the Activities Director at the Treutlen Living Center for over twenty years.
She and Mr. Barrick have been longtime members of the Orianna Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Kenny Lee Barrick Jr., a daughter, Mary Agnes Barrick and a brother, Curtis (Buddy) Rogers Jr.
Mrs. Barrick leaves behind, her husband of sixty four years, Kenneth Leroy "Kenny" Barrick Sr., their son, Ronald Eugene "Ronnie" Barrick (Robin), a daughter in law, Holley Barrick, her sisters, Joy "Skeeter' Garner, Sylvia Norris, Sarah Cauley (Wayne), Johnnie Brooks (Kenny Bryant), a sister in law, Jeanie Rogers, all of Soperton, GA, Grandchildren, Elijah Brantley, Russell Barrick, Melissa Barrick, Roland Barrick, great grandchildren, Ryleigh Barrick, Aria Barrick, Parker Brantley, Iris Brantley and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from the graveside in Orianna Cemetery with Reverend Arthur Conley and Sheriff Tommy Corbin officiating.
Her family will receive friends at the graveside or friends may call at the family home.
Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews, Luke Brooks, Jason Brooks, Jody Rogers, Barry Norris, Al Garner, Jimmy Garner, Chucky Walker and Carey Cauley.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Shriners Hospital, 950 Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605.
