Polly Ricks Foskey, 85 of Adrian, passed away on Monday morning, July 4, 2022, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Georgia.  Born in Emanuel County, she was the youngest and the last living of several children of the late John Arthur Ricks and Bessie Lee Davis Ricks.  She grew up in Adrian and lived there all of her life.   Mrs. Foskey was a homemaker and attended Bethsaida Baptist Church.  She was one of the kindest and sweetest ladies who always put the interests of others first.  She was called a jewel by many, and to know her was to love her.  Her grandchildren called her Granny Poll, and that soon became how she was known.

In addition to her parents and siblings, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gerome Foskey, and her son-in-law, Ralph Hackle.

She leaves behind her two daughters, Jean Foskey Hackle and Candace Foskey, and her two grandsons, Brian Hackle (Avery Berry) and Justin Hackle, all of Adrian.  Her first great-grandson, Noah Kase Hackle, is due to arrive in early October.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022, in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Alexander officiating.  Mrs. Foskey will be laid to rest at the Ricks Family Cemetery in Adrian.  Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sammons Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dennis Dudley, Chip Jackson, Andy Johnson, Craig Johnson, Jon Mills, and Jared Sammons.
