Mr. Ralph Edge, age 83, of McRae died Monday, December 12, 2016.

Mr. Edge was born in Wheeler County, where he had lived most of his life.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley and Dovie Gillis Edge, his wife, Mary Nell Horton Edge, sisters, Johnnie Smith, Claudia Graham, and Elizabeth Taylor, and brother, Vernon Edge.  He was retired from J.P. Stevens Company, East Dublin and was a member of Faith Baptist Church, McRae.

Survivors include his children, Cynthia Ann Edge of Macon, Scott (Rita) Edge of Helena, and Greg Edge of Glenwood; a brother, Gene Edge of Brunswick, and eleven grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at the Ralph Edge Family Cemetery, Wheeler County, at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, with Mr. Wayne Heath officiating.  Sammons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

There will be no visitation.
