Mr. Ray M. Daniels, age 70, beloved husband of Beulah Graham Daniels of Adrian passed away on Friday afternoon, May 24, 2024 at Community Hospice in Vidalia.
Born in Dublin, Georgia, he was the oldest of two sons born to the late William Morrison Daniel and Shirley Jean Morton Daniel. Ray was a lifelong resident of Laurens County where he attended Laurens High School. In the late 1960s he began a long career in the residential construction industry. He worked as a Framing Carpenter un for over twenty years before retiring he owned Daniels Construction of East Dublin.
In 1976 he married Beulah Graham, to whom he remained married until her passing in 2022. They enjoyed visiting the casinos in Biloxi, spending time together on various cruises and trips to the Smoky Mountains. He was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan and watching any NASCAR race.
As a child, he and his family attended the Rentz Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents and wife, Ray is preceded in death by: sons, Phillip Ray Daniels, Steve Ussery, Gene Ussery, Dale Daniels and Scott Daniels.
He leaves behind, two sons, Billy Ray Daniels, Doug Ussery and daughter in love and caregiver, Shantal Smith, his brother, Danny Daniel (Shelia) all of East Dublin, GA, grandchildren, Cameron, Kassidy, Peyton, Phillip, Robin, Catlyn, Ramsey, Gage, Gant and Brandon; great grandchildren, Paisley, Oakley Mae, Calton Ray and a niece, Tori Soles and tow nephews, Michael Daniel and Spence Jones.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home.
Mr. Daniels will be laid to rest in Pleasant Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
His family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 o'clock p. m. until the hour of service at Sammons Funeral Home.
