Reverend E. E. Beasley, age 86, of Soperton died Friday, March 10, 2017.

Reverend Beasley was born September 10, 1930 in Odum, GA and lived most of his life in Treutlen County.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Frankie Beasley, brother, Waldo Beasley, and sister, Zelma Scott.

Reverend Beasley was the founder and pastor of Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church of Soperton.  He established the church in September 1969 and has been pastor for forty-eight years.  In his passion to fulfill his vision for the work of the Lord, he also built and established Faith Tabernacle Church of Cadwell, GA in 2013 and was actively involved in building a church in Hazlehurst, GA.  He also had part in the beginning of several other works as thirteen ministers came up under his ministry and went out to begin other churches.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-seven years, Ethel Sharpe Beasley; children, Michael (Judy) Beasley of Glenwood, Vicki Ipock of Higgston, Kathy Slater, Paul (Michelle) Beasley, all of Soperton, and Tammy (Ronnie) Young of Swainsboro; sisters, Velma (Buddy) Sharpe of Lake Wales, FL, Johnnie Mae (Jack) Duncan of Fernandina Beach, FL, Maxie (Michael) Moody of Blackshear; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held in Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church at 11 o'clock Tuesday, March 14, with Pastor Keith Avery and Pastor Raymond Suttles officiating. Burial will be in Faith Tabernacle Cemetery.  Sammons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chad Slater, Mark Slater, Chris Young, Jonathan Slater, Nathan Slater, Joey Beasley, and Jason Beasley.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church, 1584 GA Highway 46, Soperton.
