Mr. Robert Ray "Rab" Lampp, age 77 of the Lothair Community of Soperton passed away on Wednesday morning, August 21, 2019 at the Treutlen County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Soperton.
Born at home in Treutlen County he was one of eight children born to the late Ralph Robert and Jessie Mae Geiger Lampp. Mr. Lampp had been a Heavy Equipment Operator in the Treutlen County area for over 60 years. In 1971 he married a Sumter, SC native, Nancy Jean Branham. They remained married until her passing in February of this year.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He enjoyed coon hunting, fishing and various outdoor activities.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a son, Robert "Scrap" Lampp, a brother, Buck Lampp and a sister, Margie Lampp.
Mr. Lampp leaves behind, his daughter, Linda Lampp, Reidsville, GA, two brothers, Bill Lampp (Barbara), Adrian, GA, Alton "Eot" Lampp (Regina), Soperton, GA, three sisters, Carolyn Ricks, Soperton, GA, Thelma Mosley (Wayne), Uvalda, GA, Judy Knight (Carl), Soperton, GA, grandchildren, Alexandra Berglund (Michael), John Lampp, Justin Gillis and Numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 24, 2019 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverend Jeffrey Barnard and Reverend Ray Wood officiating.
Mr. Lampp will be laid to rest beside his son in Red Bluff Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Jimmy Ricks, J. J. Ricks, Stormie Lampp, Barron Mosley, Anthony Mosley and Jason Mosley.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Chad Heath, Marty Keene, Johnny Hughes, George Cauley, Van Manning and George Coleman.
His family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
