Mr. Robert A. "Bobby" Mason, age 79, of Soperton died Saturday, January 2, 2016.

Mr. Mason was born in Phoenix, Arizona, grew up in Ailey and had lived in Soperton since 1950. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. H. and Sallie Mae Meeks Mason. He was owner and operator of Mason Auto Parts in Soperton for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Shelby Scott Mason; children, Donnie (Gail) Mason of Vidalia, Danny (Becky) Mason, Jeff Mason, and Wendy Mason (Steven Brown), all of Soperton; grandchildren, Todd (Deanna) Mason, Danielle (Chris) Barwick, Gregory (Jessi) Mason, Brian Mason, Caylan Mason, D. J. (Lindsey) Mason, Cari (Ryan) Dixon, Tabatha (Derrick) Nobles, Duston (Shannon) Bateman, and Laura Thompson; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, James (Betty Sue) Mason of Warner Robins.

Funeral services were held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home, Soperton, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, with the Reverend Mark Sweat officiating. Burial was in Ferguson Cemetery, Montgomery County.

Pallbearers were his grandsons, Todd Mason, D. J. Mason, Brian Mason, Gregory Mason, Caylan Mason, and Duston Bateman.
