Mr. Robert Taylor, age 81, of Mount Vernon died Friday, August 26, 2016.

Mr. Taylor was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County and was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Georgie Cooper Taylor, wife, Patricia Ann Owens Taylor, brother, Jay Taylor, and sister, Ella Mae Mosley. He was a retired farmer and was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church, Montgomery County.

Survivors include his son, Henry (Lisa) Price of Mount Vernon and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home, Soperton, at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 28, with Pastor Steve Hardeman officiating. Burial will be in Adams Cemetery, Montgomery County.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour before the funeral service on Sunday.

Pallbearers will be Henry Price, Robert Owens, Lerone Owens, Luke Owens, Holden Owens, and David Owens.
