Mr. Ronnie T. Weeks, age 42 of the Gillis Springs Community of Soperton passed away Friday evening, September 20, 2024 at Meadows Regional Hospital in Vidalia.
Born in Swainsboro, he was one of five children born to Ronald Weeks and the late, Angeline Quinn Weeks. Ronnie was a graduate of Treutlen County High School after which time he attended Swainsboro Technical College and studied Culinary Arts. He was a longtime and coveted employee of Wal Mart; having worked at the Vidalia Store for twenty four years.
The lifelong resident of Treutlen County enjoyed cooking, time with his pet Boston Terrier and watching anything on television pertaining to old houses and cooking.
He was a member of Holton Chapel Advent Christian Church.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by a brother in law, Dewitt "Dinky" Sellers.
Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory: his father, Ronald Weeks, Soperton, GA, his siblings, Thomas John Quinn (Reba), Soperton, GA, Angie Keene, Santa Claus, GA, Keith Weeks, Augusta, GA, Glenda Sellers (Jimmy Brewer), Lothair Community of Soperton, GA, nieces and nephews, Rebecca Quinn, Elizabeth Keene, Katherine Keene, William Keene, Amber Poole (Andrew Bell), Adam Poole and many friends, coworkers and customers from Wal Mart.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Pastor Morris Brantley officiating.
Ronnie will be laid to rest in the Holton Chapel Church Cemetery.
Serving as active pallbearers will be: Thomas Quinn, Andrew Bell, Robert "Trey" Chalkley, Jessie Weeks, Jessie Weeks Jr., Hunter Hathaway, Clarence Weeks and Timmy Lyles.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Patric Powell, William Needer and Luke Powell.
His family will receive friends on Monday, at Sammons Funeral Home, from 6:00 – 8:00 o'clock pm or friends and family may call at the home of his sister, Glenda.
