Mr. Roy Moxley, age 63 of Soperton, beloved husband of Jackie McDaniel Moxley passed away in the early morning hours on Saturday, January 11, 2020.

Born in Soperton, he was one of six children born to Betty Lou Dorsey \Moxley and the late Henry Frank Moxley. Mr. Moxley was a graduate of Treutlen County High School, Class of 1975. After high school, he worked at Federal Pacific in Vidalia. In 1977 he married, Soperton native and a childhood friend, Jackie Lynn McDaniel. In 1979 they moved to the Winter Haven area of Florida where Mr. Moxley worked in Construction as a Superintendent until returning to Soperton in 2000. Upon coming back to Soperton, he and his wife opened and ran the Bar-be-Que Barn until 2010.

Mr. Moxley enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Earnhardts of NASCAR and cooking .

He was of the Baptist faith and had attended Red Bluff Baptist Church.

In addition to his father , he is preceded in death by a brother, Malcolm Moxley and a sister, Betty Nell Poole.

He leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Jackie Moxley, Soperton, GA, his mother, Betty Lou Dorsey Moxley, Soperton, GA, a brother, Wayne Moxley (Jacquelyn), Lake Wales, FL, two sisters, Ann Gillis and Denise Moxley, both of Soperton, GA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Mr. Moxley will be held in Florida at a later date.
