Mr. Royce Phillips, age 75, beloved husband of Gail Morgan Phillips, passed away on Friday evening, December 27, 2024 at their home in East Dublin.

Born in Treutlen County, he was the eldest of three children born to the late Royal B. Phillips and Artis Williford Phillips.  He grew up in Soperton and was a graduate of Soperton High School, Class of 1967.  In 1972, Mr. Phillips married Laurens County native Claudia Gail Morgan.  He founded, owned and operated Phillips Wood Company in Laurens County before he and his brother in law, Jerry Martin founded Irish Moving and Storage in Dublin.

Mr. Phillips enjoyed being out doors, staying busy, cutting grass and working outside.

He and his wife attended the Wilkes Church of the Nazarene.

Mr. Phillips leaves behind: his wife, Gail Morgan Phillips, their son, Keith Phillips and his wife, Annette, all of East Dublin, his sisters, Arlene Martin Yates (Gene), East Dublin,  Anita Smith, Dublin, grandchildren, Joanna Michelle Mosely, Kaitlynn Marie Phillips, Payton Michelle Phillips, great grandchildren, Mason, Nolan and Madux as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, December 30, 2024 from the graveside in the Wilkes Church Cemetery in Rockledge with Pastor Al Soles officiating.

Mr. Phillips's family will receive friends on Monday, following the service, at the graveside.
