Mrs. Ruby "Tensie" Cross, age 63, of Soperton, GA, former longtime resident of Cochran, GA passed away on Thursday morning, January 4, 2018 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Georgia.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 7, 2018 in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home, Soperton, Georgia. Mrs. Cross will be laid to rest in Rosemont Church Cemetery, Soperton.  Her family will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Born in Glenwood, Georgia, she was one of eleven children born to the late Mathew and Minnie Lee Hill Harrell. She had resided in Cochran, Georgia for over twenty years, where she worked as a Supervisor with Lithonia Lighting, before moving to Soperton in 2000.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by six brothers, Jesse, James, Johnny, Fred, Marshall and Henry Harrell.

Survivors include her husband, Daniel O. 'Dan" Cross, Soperton, her two daughters, Melanie Latrelle Collins Dempsey (Alex), Tina Marie Collins Yeomans (Joey), all of Cochran, two brothers, Jimmy Harrell and Randell Harrell Sr., two sisters, Carolyn Johnson (L.S.), Anna Colson, grandchildren, Hannah Lee Dempsey, Christina Ann Dempsey, Cherish Hope Dempsey, Lydia Joy Harrell, Ethan James Dempsey, Micah Elizabeth Dempsey, Kyler Scott Collins Parr, Tyler Cole Edward Yeomans, great grandson, Remi Chastin Perez Dempsey and numerous nieces and nephews.
