Obituary

Mrs. Sabrina Smith Tanner, age 55, beloved wife of the late Frank "Bo" Tanner Sr.  formerly of Soperton, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.

Born in Bradenton, FL she was the youngest of five children born to Marilyn Jeanette Suggs Smith and the late Malcolm Dewitt Smith.  Sabrina grew up in Bradenton where she was a graduate of Southeast High School, Class of 1985.  She married her high school sweetheart, Frank "Bo" Tanner Sr. in 1985.   They had lived in Treutlen County and the Norristown communities during the late 1980s and the 2000s.   Her husband passed away in 2008.  Sabrina had worked in the Convenience Store Industry with B. P. and Jet Foods in Laurens County; lastly as a Manager with Jet Foods on Highway 441 in Dublin.  She had lived in Tennessee for a short time before her most recent move to Kansas to be with her sister.

When living in Soperton, she attended the Trinity Assembly of God.

Sabrina enjoyed hand crafts, traveling, phone calls with family, time spent with her grandchildren and family card games.

In addition to her father and husband, she is preceded in death by a brother, James DeWitt Smith, a nephew, Jody Smith and a brother in law, Lenny Jurgonski.

Sabrina leaves behind, her sons, Frank "Bo" Tanner, Jr., Kyle Morgan Tanner and his wife, Julie, of Tennille, GA, her mother, Marilyn Suggs Smith, Benton, TN, her sisters, Sharon Schauer and her husband, Richard, Benton, TN, Sheila Jurgonski, Clayton, KA, grandchildren, Cayden Tanner, Cameron Tanner, Kamber Tanner, Bailey Tanner and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 22, 2023 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with her brother in law, Richard Schauer officiating.

Sabrina will be laid to rest beside her husband in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Kyle and Bo Tanner, Dylan Schriber, Jeff Montgomery, Aaron Pearson and Michael Hodge.
