Ms. Sandra Sue Horne, age 71, of Soperton, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, May 8, 2018 at Serenity Hospice in Dublin, Georgia.

Memorial services were at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 12, 2018 in the chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Pastor Gilbert Posey, officiating.

Sandra was born in Wheeler County, the daughter of the late Clenton Menyard and Nellie Marie Bridges Horne. After graduating from Montgomery High School, she lived and worked in Dalton, GA for a short time before returning to the area in 1969. Upon returning she lived in Vidalia and Petross for several years until moving to Treutlen County in 1999. She worked for many years as a Server at various local restaurants to include: The Shrimp Boat, Captain's Corner, The Huddle House, The Hilton and others before retiring in 2006. After retiring from the Foodservice Industry she worked as a Personal Sitter for a short time.

Sandra loved her flowers, her pet dogs and cats as well as time fishing.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Lynn Ammonds Sheehan and two sisters, Gail Nabb and Brenda Aaron.

She is survived by her son, Scott McCarty (Deidra), Metter, GA, two brothers, Gary Horne (Shirley), Glenwood, GA, Jerry Horne (Lottie), Soperton, GA, a sister, Mary McCoy (Marvin), Guyton, GA, seven grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
