Mrs. Sandra Jean Price, age 70, beloved wife of Floyd Price of Adrian passed away on Tuesday evening, June 17, 2025 at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia.

Born in Adrian, she was the fourth of five children born to the late Hershel Thomas Carter and Ella Jean Mimbs Carter.  She grew up in Adrian and was a graduate of Adrian High School, Class of 1973.  After high school, Sandra joined the State of Georgia as a Social Worker, working in the Soperton, Jeffersonville and Haddock offices until the mid 1990s.  In 1984, she married Floyd Price.  Upon leaving the employ of the state, she became a full time homemaker, specifically to be a mother to her's and Floyd's daughter, Dana.

At the age of eleven, while taking music lessons, she found that she had a natural ability to play the piano.  Since the age of eleven, she has been playing in many various local churches as the Church Musician and as a special invited performer.   In 2005, she and her husband, founded "Sandra and Friends" a gospel music singing group that has performed throughout the Southeast to untold thousands of attendees.  Whether it be playing at local festivals, opening for other bands such as the Dixie Echoes and the Florida Boys; Sandra was consumed by her love of gospel music, while teaching and entertaining others and sharing her faith.

She and Floyd, along with others, were instrumental in the founding of the Safe Harbor Church in Adrian.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hershel T. and Ella Jean Mimbs Carter.

Sandra leaves behind her husband of forty years, Floyd Price, their daughter, Dana Price McDaniel, (Dylan), Adrian, GA, her siblings, Jerry Carter (Judy), Soperton, GA, Faye Carter, Soperton, GA, Deborah Clark (John), Soperton, GA, Densie Kirby (David), Eatonton, GA, a special friend and caregiver, Ruby Powell, Soperton, GA, a special cousin, Ricky Mimbs of Adrian and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at the Anchor of Hope, 2292 N. College Street, Soperton, GA with Reverend Milton Thomas officiating.

Sandra will be laid to rest in Westview Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Jason Carter, Jeremy Carter, Ryan Roberson, Derek Phillips, Jared Akins, Scott Crutchfield, Tommy Price and Dylan McDaniel.

Honorary pallbearers will be past members of "Sandra and Friends" and will be seated as  special attendees.

Her family will receive friends on Friday, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm  at Sammons Funeral Home, Soperton, GA or friends and family may call at the home of her brother, Jerry Carter.
