Sarah Thompson Brannen, age 78 of Adrian, passed away on Saturday morning, May 17, 2025 at Dublin Trails in Dublin, Georgia.

Born in Bulloch County, Georgia, she was the youngest of four children born to the late Morris Thompson and Reba Hall Thompson.  She had lived in Johnson County from the early 1980s until moving to Adrian in the early 2000s.  Mrs. Brannen had worked with her son as a Log Truck Driver for many years; where she adopted the nick name of "Cry Baby".

She enjoyed yardwork, flowers, crafts  and old country music.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Horace Lee Brannen and siblings, Larry Thompson and Betty Thompson Minor.

Mrs. Brannen leaves behind her children, Sarah Jean Braswell (Kenneth), Norristown Community, Ricky James Pounds, Milledgeville, GA, Randy Dwayne Pounds (Teresa), Kite, GA, Ronnie Spurgeon Pounds (Marie), Adrian, GA, Samantha Nobles, Adrian, GA, her only living sibling, Elaine Thompson Jenkins, Dothan, AL, thirteen grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends on Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 o'clock p. m. at her residence in Adrian.

Flowers and refreshments are being accepted at the home.
