Obituary

Mr. Shawn Manring, age 56 of Tarrytown passed away on Saturday evening August 12, 2023 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah.

Born in Augusta, GA he was the youngest child born to the late Michael Joseph Manring and Mary Anna Edge Manring.  The family lived in Florida for a short time before coming to Soperton in 1960.  Shawn has always worked in various segments of the building industry.  He worked in commercial, residential and industrial construction and steel fabrication until most recently joining Morgan Window of McRae where he was an Installer of commercial windows in hotels, restaurants and other businesses.

Shawn enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and working on, working with or being involved with whatever might be taking place at any given time.  He was unselfish and sacrificial to a fault; never wanting to be a burden on anyone else.  He was very close to his family and enjoyed time spent on family lake camping trips and anytime that he could lend a hand to any one of them.

Shawn leaves behind his daughter, Rebecca Manring, Tarrytown, GA, siblings, George Harden (Nausha), Glenwood, GA, Johnny Harden, Soperton, GA, Brian Manring (Angie), Soperton, GA, Teri Brown (Mike), Muncie, IN, grandchildren, Jaxton Kellam, Kyngston Bell, Draeyson Bell, nieces and nephews, Johnathan Harden, Jessica Hooks, Dillon Manring, Harmony Mann, Honesty Saxon, Jesse Mann, Brandi Edenfield, Billiejo Sykes, Christopher Premen, Crystal Premen, Teresa King, Samuel King, Justin King and many additional great nieces and nephews and loving family members.
