Mrs. Shirley Marie Beck, age 53, beloved wife of Todd Beck of Adrian passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, October 6, 2022 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was the youngest of eight children in the family.  She grew up in Swainsboro where she attended Swainsboro High School.  She later attended and graduated from Swainsboro Technical College where she earned an Associates of Arts Degree in Accounting.   In September of 1986 she married Johnson County native, Todd Beck.  The newlyweds made their home in Adrian where they have remained. Shirley worked at Adrian Homes until it's closing in 2011 and later worked at the Nazarene Camp Ground until December of 2019.

She was totally family committed and was happiest when with her children, grandchildren, siblings and any other family members that showed up.  She was affectionately known as "Squirrell" and was "Mama" to everybody.   Shirley has been a caregiver to her mother for the past years and enjoyed yardwork, coffee (all day long), her soaps and Candy Crush.

She was a member of the Norristown Revival Center in Norristown.

Shirley is preceded in death by: her father, Judge Lester Woods and siblings, Bobby Woods, Earl Woods and Peggy Woods Warnock.

She leaves behind: her husband of thirty five years, Todd Beck, Adrian, her children, Tiffany Green (Gary), Kristie Johnson (Wes), Michael Beck, her mother, Martha Conner Woods, all of Adrian, siblings, David Collins, Kite, GA, Dennis Collins, Dublin, GA, Theresa O'Berry (Kris Peacock), Adrian, GA, Tammy Johnson (Alford), Swainsboro, GA, Amanda Beck, Soperton, GA, grandchildren, Alyssa, Kinsley and Remington Green, Lexi and Grayci Beck, Kaitlyn and Kaden Johnson, Alexis and Tyson Hilton as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 9, 2022 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral with Pastor Jack Stafford and Patty Stafford officiating.

She will be laid to rest in the Odomville Cemetery, Adrian.

Friends and family are invited to visit at the home of Bill and Ann Beck in Adrian as well as on Sunday, at the funeral home, from 2:00 pm until the hour of service.

Serving as pall bearers will be: Gary Green, Wes Johnson, D. J. O'Berry, Allen Beck, Wesley Watkins, Morgan Elliott and Charles Collins.
