Mrs. Shirley Ann Henry, age 69, beloved wife of Larry Henry, passed away on Tuesday morning, April 2, 2019 at the Coliseum Medical Center in Macon, Georgia.

Born in Emanuel County, she was one of nine children born to the late Jake Dan Wilkerson and Mary Lucile Hall Wilkerson. She was raised in Swainsboro where she attended Swainsboro High School. In the mid 1960's while attending an event at the Record Hop in Swainsboro she met Treutlen County native, Larry Henry. They married in 1966 and, upon his discharge from the U.S. Army, moved to Soperton. Mrs. Henry worked at Bill's Dollar Store in Soperton for a short time before devoting her time to being a fulltime homemaker.

She has been a longtime and devoted member of Holton Chapel Advent Christian Church where Shirley has served as church Treasurer since 1974.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings, Norma Roberson, Donnie, Johnny and Danny Wilkerson and Jane Bedgood.

She leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Larry Henry, Soperton, GA, their son, David Henry, Soperton, GA, three sisters, Caroline Odom (Jerry), Swainsboro, GA, Tricia Mason (Wayne), Swainsboro, GA, Jackie King (Wesley), Norristown, GA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, April 5, 2019 from the graveside in Holton Chapel Cemetery with Reverend Morris Brantley officiating.

Her family will receive friends on Friday morning, at Holton Chapel Church, from 10:00 am until the hour of the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Brandon, Tom, Tony and Kanen Bush and Dustin and Donnie Hughes.
