Mr. Thomas Alfred Lawrence, 89, of Soperton died Tuesday, April 12, 2016.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 14, with the Reverend Ray Wood officiating. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Treutlen County.

Mr. Lawrence was a lifelong resident of Treutlen County and was preceded in death by his parents, Nice and Nettie Fowler Lawrence. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and was a member of VFW Post 10925. He was a farmer and was retired from the City of Soperton Maintenance Department. He was a member of Soperton Trinity Assembly of God.

Survivors include his daughters, Ruby Faye Connell of Vidalia and Bonnie Gail Roberson of Soperton; grandchildren, Shannon Page of Vidalia, Ken (Jessica) Riner, Christopher (Jessica) Lawrence, and Thomas Tingle, all of Soperton; brother, Jack Lawrence of Soperton; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and may be reached at 2026 Midway Church Road, Soperton, GA.
