Mr. Tom L. Proctor, age 63, of Soperton passed away on Sunday evening, October 28, 2018 at the Treutlen County Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be at 6:00 pm on Thursday, November 1, 2018 in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverend Chris White, Reverend Robert Young Jr., and Mayor Royce Fowler officiating.

His family will receive friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until the hour of service.

Born in Swainsboro, he was one of four children born to the late Dub Proctor and Estelle Burke. In the early 1960s his family moved to Soperton. At the age of sixteen Mr. Proctor started driving trucks and had owned and operated Tommy's Trucking; retiring in 2004.

He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed following his favorite NASCAR drivers; Bill and Chase Elliott and Kyle Bush.

Mr. Proctor and his wife had attended the Revelation Fellowship and Trinity Assembly of God.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, William Proctor and a sister, Betty Crawford.

He leaves behind, his wife of 36 years, Teresa Holm Proctor, Soperton, GA, children, Scott Lee Holm (Kathy), Richmond Hill, GA, Cynthia Andrews (John), Dublin, GA, Charles Proctor, LA, Tommy Linder Proctor II, Soperton, GA, Dottie Driver, AL, a sister, Sandra Owens, Savannah, GA, eight grandchildren, Brian and Brandon Crabbe, Tyler Holm, Christopher and Cooper Andrews, Austin, Codie and Jada Proctor and numerous nieces and nephews.
