Mrs. Tommie Faye Kea Foskey, age 81, beloved wife of the late, Larry Allen Foskey of East Dublin passed away in Monday evening, October 24, 2022 at Fairview Hospital in Dublin, Georgia.
Born in Treutlen County, she was the only daughter of two children born to the late Youmans and Minnie Lucille Coleman Kea. She grew up in Treutlen County cherishing memories of small town life and working in tobacco as a young child. She graduated from Treutlen County High School, Class of 1960. The family had lived in Dublin since the 1950s and in 1968 she married Larry Allen Foskey who passed away in January of 2022. Mrs. Foskey had worked at Oxford Industries, ALFA Insurance Agency and Farmers State Bank until retiring in the mid 1980s.
She enjoyed flowers, gardening and fishing.
Since childhood Mrs. Foskey had had been a member of Keas United Methodist Church in Adrian until moving to Dublin and joining Central Drive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Foskey leaves behind her children, Stanley "Stan" Drew (Susie), Pooler, GA, Stevie Drew (Gayla), Cadwell, GA, Denise Foskey Mullis (Scottie), Dublin, GA, Danetta Foskey Etheridge (Joey), East Dublin, her brother, George Kea (Suzanne), Dublin, GA, twelve grandchildren six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 pm on Thursday, October 27, 2022 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverend Al Soles officiating.
Mrs. Foskey will be laid to rest beside her husband in Dublin Memorial Gardens.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:30 am until the time of service.
