Mr. Truman White age 76, beloved husband of Mary Joyce Graham White, of the Orland Community of Soperton passed away on Wednesday evening, December 8, 2021 at the Treutlen County Health And Rehabilitation Center.

Born in the Cedar Grove Community of Laurens County, he was one of twelve children born to the late Hardy and Minnie Allen White Sr.  He grew up in Cedar Grove and Dublin at the age of fifteen started a lifelong career of working with sheetrock.  In 1969 he married Johnson County native, Mary Joyce Graham; whom he had taken a liking to since middle school.  They traveled between New York, Pennsylvania and Georgia as he worked with his brothers hanging and finishing sheetrock.  He returned to and settled in Treutlen County in 1989.  He continued to work as a Sub Contractor until retiring in 2015; after over sixty one years in the trade.

Mr. White taught himself and others to play the acoustic guitar; which he played by ear.  He enjoyed fishing and was an avid gardener.

In addition to hie parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, Hardy "Uncle Jr" White Jr., Bobby White, Johnnie Merle McCrimmon, A. B. White, David White, Jerry White and Christine Foskey.

Mr. White leaves behind his wife of fifty two years, Mary Joyce White, Soperton, GA, their children, Donna Richardson, Soperton, GA, Trampas White (Laura), Dublin, GA, Mark White, Soperton, GA, Troy White (April), Soperton, GA, three brothers, Arthur White (Kathy) of Missouri, Roy Gene White (Barbara), Soperton, GA, Rayford White (Sharol), Pendergrass, GA, a sister, Helen White (Mike Smith), Metter, GA, four grandchildren, Mercedes Richardson, Heather Cox (Trey), Shelton Richardson (Sierra) and Forest White, great grandchildren, Zaiden Cox, Ariel Paige Mclendon, M. J. Richardson, Carter Cox, Lincoln Cox and Kennedy Cox (who is due to arrive any day now), and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 5:00 pm on Saturday, December 11, 2021 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverend Albert White officiating.

Mr. White will be laid to rest at his home.

His family will receive friends on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 4:00 pm until the hour of service as well as after the service.
