Mrs. Vaunell Graham Powell, age 81, of East Dublin died Sunday, April 17, 2017.

Mrs. Powell was born in Laurens County and had lived in Treutlen County most of her life.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mamie Pullen Graham; brothers, Prentice Graham, Virgil Graham, E. J. Graham, N. B. Graham, Robert Graham, and Ralph Graham; sisters, Mazie McLendon and  Mildred Frost; and former husband, M. E. Powell.  She was retired from Mohawk Industries, East Dublin, and was a member of Pleasant Springs Baptist Church, Laurens County.

Survivors include her sons, James Teruel of Soperton and Willie (Angie) Powell of Dublin; ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home, Soperton, at 11 o'clock Wednesday, April 19, with Reverend Nolon McDaniel officiating.  Burial will be in Pleasant Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Willie Powell, Derek Powell, Brandon Bush, Charles Carpenter, George Love, and Alex Graham.
